  1. Seventy Weeks and the Messiah

    “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the wrongdoing, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
  2. And in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, ‘You shall keep on listening, but shall not understand; And you shall keep on looking, but shall not perceive;
  3. Zechariah’s Prophecy

    And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying:
  4. However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if prophecy, in proportion to one’s faith;
  5. and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
  6. If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
  7. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.

  13. for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
  14. Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
  15. Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he *said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brothers and sisters who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
  16. “And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
  17. The Final Message

    And he *said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
  18. I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
  19. and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
