  1. nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
  2. For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live for God.
  3. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”

  10. Intent of the Law

    Brothers and sisters, I speak in terms of human relations: even though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions to it.
  11. What I am saying is this: the Law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.
  12. For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.
  13. Why the Law then? It was added on account of the violations, having been ordered through angels at the hand of a mediator, until the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made.
  14. Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? Far from it! For if a law had been given that was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.
  15. But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed.
  16. Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.
  17. But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,
  18. so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters.
  19. Slave and Free

    Tell me, you who want to be under law, do you not listen to the Law?
  20. And I testify again to every man who has himself circumcised, that he is obligated to keep the whole Law.
  21. You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace.
  22. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  23. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
  24. gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
  25. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
