  1. For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, but on the first day you shall remove dough with yeast from your houses; for whoever eats anything with yeast from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.
  2. For seven days there shall be no dough with yeast found in your houses; for whoever eats anything with yeast, that person shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a stranger or a native of the land.
  3. So the people took their dough before it was leavened, with their kneading bowls bound up in the clothes on their shoulders.

  12. They are all adulterers, Like an oven heated by the baker, Who stops stoking the fire From the time the dough is kneaded until it is leavened.
  13. If the first piece of dough is holy, the lump is also; and if the root is holy, the branches are as well.
  14. Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?
  15. A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough.
