  1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
  2. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
  3. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
  4. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
  5. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
  6. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
  7. Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
  8. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
  9. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
  10. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
  11. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
  12. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
  13. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
  14. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
  15. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
  16. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
  17. Not of works, lest any man should boast.
  18. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
  19. That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
  20. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
  21. Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
  22. And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
  23. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
  24. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
  25. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
