  11. Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people.
  12. Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
  13. The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
  14. The Sabbath Command

    Moses assembled the entire Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do:
  15. For six days work is to be done, but on the seventh day you are to have a holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord. Anyone who does work on it must be executed.
  16. Do not light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day.”
