  1. How to Fast

    “Whenever you fast, don’t be sad-faced like the hypocrites. For they make their faces unattractive so their fasting is obvious to people. I assure you: They’ve got their reward!
  2. so that you don’t show your fasting to people but to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
  3. Anyone who welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. And anyone who welcomes a righteous person because he’s righteous will receive a righteous person’s reward.
  4. And whoever gives just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple —I assure you: He will never lose his reward!”
  5. For the Son of Man is going to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will reward each according to what he has done.
  6. That slave whose master finds him working when he comes will be rewarded.
  7. And whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of My name, since you belong to the Messiah—I assure you: He will never lose his reward.

  10. Rewards and Punishment

    “Lord,” Peter asked, “are You telling this parable to us or to everyone?”
