And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times, or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

But ye shall receive power of the holy Ghost, when he shall come on you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

So when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so steadfastly on us, as though by our own power or godliness, we had made this man go?

And when they had set them before them, they asked, By what power, or in what Name have ye done this?

And with great power gave the Apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

While it remained, appertained it not unto thee? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? how is it that thou hast conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

¶ Now Stephen full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

To whom they gave heed from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that great power of God.

Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay the hands, he may receive the holy Ghost.

To wit, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy Ghost, and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil: for God was with him.

To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them, which are sanctified by faith in me.
