The Evil City of Sodom

That evening, while Lot was sitting near the city gate, the two angels arrived in Sodom. When Lot saw them, he got up, bowed down low,

But the two angels in the house reached out and pulled Lot safely inside.

The two angels said to Lot, “The Lord has heard many terrible things about the people of Sodom, and he has sent us here to destroy the city. Take your family and leave. Take every relative you have in the city, as well as the men your daughters are going to marry.”

Early the next morning the two angels tried to make Lot hurry and leave. They said, “Take your wife and your two daughters and get away from here as fast as you can! If you don't, every one of you will be killed when the Lord destroys the city.”

At first, Lot just stood there. But the Lord wanted to save him. So the angels took Lot, his wife, and his two daughters by the hand and led them out of the city.

When they were outside, one of the angels said, “Run for your lives! Don't even look back. And don't stop in the valley. Run to the hills, where you'll be safe.”

In a dream he saw a ladder that reached from earth to heaven, and God's angels were going up and down on it.

Jacob Gets Ready To Meet Esau

As Jacob was on his way back home, some of God's angels came and met him.

Balaam and His Donkey Meet an Angel

Balaam was riding his donkey to Moab, and two of his servants were with him. But God was angry that Balaam had gone, so one of the Lord's angels stood in the road to stop him.

Gideon realized that he had seen one of the Lord's angels. “Oh!” he moaned. “Now I'm going to die.”

Manoah didn't realize that he was really talking to one of the Lord's angels. The angel answered, “I can stay for a little while, although I won't eat any of your food. But if you would like to offer the goat as a sacrifice to the Lord, that would be fine.”

Although the angel didn't appear to them again, they realized he was one of the Lord's angels.

The old prophet said, “I'm a prophet too. One of the Lord's angels told me to take you to my house and give you something to eat and drink.” The prophet from Judah did not know that the old prophet was lying,

and neither are angels— not in the sight of God. If God doesn't trust his angels,

One of a thousand angels then comes to our rescue by saying we are innocent.

while morning stars sang, and angels rejoiced?

The Voice of the Lord in a Storm

All you angels in heaven, honor the glory and power of the Lord!

God was so angry and furious that he went into a rage and caused them great trouble by sending swarms of destroying angels.

Our Lord, let the heavens now praise your miracles, and let all your angels praise your faithfulness.

God will command his angels to protect you wherever you go.

All of you mighty angels, who obey God's commands, come and praise your Lord!
