And as a widow even for eighty-four years. She did not go out from the temple enclosure, but was worshiping night and day with fasting and prayer.

Then they said to Him, The disciples of John practice fasting often and offer up prayers of [special] petition, and so do [the disciples] of the Pharisees also, but Yours eat and drink.

Now in those days it occurred that He went up into a mountain to pray, and spent the whole night in prayer to God.

Telling them, It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer; but you have made it a cave of robbers.

Who make away with and devour widows’ houses, and [to cover it up] with pretense make long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation (the heavier sentence, the severer punishment).

And when He got up from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from grief,
