  1. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
  2. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

  11. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
  12. as it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
  13. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
  14. that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
  15. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
  16. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
  17. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
  18. But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
  19. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
  20. even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
  21. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
  22. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
  23. that I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judæa; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
