  9. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
  10. Then had the churches rest throughout all Judæa and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
  11. that word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judæa, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
  12. And the apostles and brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
  13. Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa:
  14. And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judæa to Cæsarea, and there abode.
  15. And certain men which came down from Judæa taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
  16. Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
  17. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
  18. And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
  19. And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judæa a certain prophet, named Agabus.
  20. but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
  21. And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judæa concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
