  1. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
  2. And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
  3. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

  5. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  6. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
  7. Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
  8. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
  9. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
  10. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
  11. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
  12. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
  13. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
  14. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
  15. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
  16. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
  17. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
  18. Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
  19. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
  20. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
  21. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
  22. And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
  23. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
  24. And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
  25. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
