  1. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”

  7. Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

    The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
  8. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
  9. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.
  10. And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets,
  11. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
  12. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
