  1. We always give thanks to God for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers;
  2. so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

  9. and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.
  10. for indeed you practice it toward all the brothers and sisters who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers and sisters, to excel even more,
  11. for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;
  12. See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.
  13. Greet all the brothers and sisters with a holy kiss.
  14. I put you under oath by the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.
