For that preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness: but unto us, which are saved, it is the power of God.

But unto them which are called, both of the Jews and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 He setteth down a platform of his preaching, 4 which was base in respect of man’s wisdom, 7, 13 but noble in respect of the spiritual power and efficacy. 14 And so concludeth that flesh and blood cannot rightly judge thereof. And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of words, or of wisdom, showing unto you the testimony of God.

Neither stood my word, and my preaching in the enticing speech of man’s wisdom, but in plain evidence of the Spirit and of power.

That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and I will know, not the words of them which are puffed up, but the power.

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

When ye are gathered together, and my spirit, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that such one, I say, by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¶ All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not profitable. I may do all things, but I will not be brought under the power of any thing.

And God hath also raised up the Lord, and shall raise us up by his power.

The wife hath not the power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not the power of his own body, but the wife.

Nevertheless, he that standeth firm in his heart, that he hath no need, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart, that he will keep his virgin, he doeth well.

But take heed lest by any means this power of yours be an occasion of falling, to them that are weak.

Have we not power to eat and to drink?

Or have we not power to lead about a wife being a sister, as well as the rest of the Apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power not to work?

If others with you be partakers of this power, are not we rather? nevertheless, we have not used this power: but suffer all things, that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ.

Therefore ought the woman to have power on her head, because of the Angels.

Except I know then the power of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a Barbarian, and he that speaketh, shall be a Barbarian unto me.

Then shall be the end, when he hath delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he hath put down all rule, and all authority and power.

It is sown in dishonor, and is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness, and is raised in power.
