  1. through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles in behalf of His name,
  2. to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
  3. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the world.
  4. Unbelief and Its Consequences

  7. All the World Guilty

    Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?
  8. What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
  9. They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, There is not even one.”
  10. Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;
  11. but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction,
  12. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
  13. and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,
  14. For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
  15. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all mankind, because all sinned—
  16. So then, as through one offense the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one act of righteousness the result was justification of life to all mankind.
  17. The Law came in so that the offense would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
  18. Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
  19. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
  20. Deliverance from Bondage

    Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus.
  21. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God.
  22. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
  23. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
  24. Just as it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
  25. But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
