    When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,

  16. Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

  19. Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two

    After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
  20. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
  21. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.

  25. But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way.
