  172. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head,
  173. but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven.
  174. Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”
  201. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—

  208. and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,
  209. from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
  210. to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
  211. so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
  212. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
  213. from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
  214. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.

  221. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.

    To Live Is Christ

    Yes, and I will rejoice,
  222. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
  223. so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
  224. and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  225. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
  226. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;
  227. do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
  228. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
  229. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
  230. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
  231. Final Greetings

Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you.
  232. so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
  233. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
  234. Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
  235. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
  236. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  237. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
  238. Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
  239. and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you of everything that has taken place here.
  240. For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything.
  241. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
  242. but test everything; hold fast what is good.
  243. Abstain from every form of evil.
  244. Thanksgiving

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
  245. To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power,
  246. who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
  247. comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
  248. Benediction

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
  249. I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. This is the sign of genuineness in every letter of mine; it is the way I write.
  250. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
  251. for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
  252. I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;
  253. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
  254. for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
  255. and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work.
  256. who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
  257. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
  258. Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
  259. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
  260. But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”
  261. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
  262. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
  263. that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
  264. The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
  265. Qualifications for Elders

This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you—
  266. Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,
  267. not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.
  268. Be Ready for Every Good Work

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
  269. and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.
  270. For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”? Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”?
  271. But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
  272. And to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?
  273. For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,
  274. putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.
  275. But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
  276. Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
  277. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.)
  278. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
  279. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
  280. For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.
  281. for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.
  282. and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace.
  283. For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar.
  284. For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer.
  285. They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, “See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.”
  286. For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
  287. Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
  288. Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own,
  289. Christ's Sacrifice Once for All

For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.
  290. But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.
  291. And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
  292. Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
  293. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”
  294. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
  295. equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
  296. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
  297. Hearing and Doing the Word

    Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
  298. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,
  299. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
  300. Submission to Authority

Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme,
  301. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.
  302. whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
  303. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
  304. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge,
  305. And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.
  306. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
  307. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”
  308. But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
  309. If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
  310. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
  311. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
  312. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
  313. for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.
  314. Test the Spirits

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
  315. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
  316. and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
  317. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
  318. Overcoming the World

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.
  319. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
  320. We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
  321. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
  322. Demetrius has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. We also add our testimony, and you know that our testimony is true.
  323. and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
  324. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
  325. And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,
  326. the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
  327. And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
  328. And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
  329. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
  330. Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,
  331. And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:
  332. A Great Multitude from Every Nation

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
  333. saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
  334. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
  335. and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay,
  336. They have the power to shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire.
  337. The Seventh Trumpet

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”
  338. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,
  339. and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
  340. The Messages of the Three Angels

Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.
  341. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
  342. And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever,
  343. The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea.
  344. And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found.
  345. And he called out with a mighty voice, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.
  346. Once more they cried out, “Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up forever and ever.”
  347. and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
  348. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
  349. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,
  350. But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
  351. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
  352. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
  353. I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
