  1. Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; it will be done for you just as you have believed.” And his servant was healed that very moment.

  12. Therefore I say to you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you will receive it, and it will be so for you.
  13. They argued among themselves, “If we say, ‘It’s of heavenly origin,’ he’ll say, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’
  14. “Then if someone says to you, ‘Look, here’s the Christ,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it.
  15. Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down from the cross. Then we’ll see and believe.” Even those who had been crucified with Jesus insulted him.
  16. But even after they heard the news, they didn’t believe that Jesus was alive and that Mary had seen him.

  23. The seed on the path are those who hear, but then the devil comes and steals the word from their hearts so that they won’t believe and be saved.
  24. The seed on the rock are those who receive the word joyfully when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while but fall away when they are tempted.
