They said, “If you are the Christ, tell us!” He answered, “If I tell you, you won’t believe.

Their words struck the apostles as nonsense, and they didn’t believe the women.

He came as a witness to testify concerning the light, so that through him everyone would believe in the light.

But those who did welcome him, those who believed in his name, he authorized to become God’s children,

Jesus answered, “Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these!

This was the first miraculous sign that Jesus did in Cana of Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered what he had said, and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

While Jesus was in Jerusalem for the Passover Festival, many believed in his name because they saw the miraculous signs that he did.

If I have told you about earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?

so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life.

Whoever believes in him isn’t judged; whoever doesn’t believe in him is already judged, because they don’t believe in the name of God’s only Son.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever doesn’t believe in the Son won’t see life, but the angry judgment of God remains on them.”

Jesus said to her, “Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you and your people will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

Many Samaritans in that city believed in Jesus because of the woman’s word when she testified, “He told me everything I’ve ever done.”

Many more believed because of his word,

and they said to the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this one is truly the savior of the world.”

Jesus said to him, “Unless you see miraculous signs and wonders, you won’t believe.”

Jesus replied, “Go home. Your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and set out for his home.

Then the father realized that this was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son lives.” And he and his entire household believed in Jesus.

“I assure you that whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and won’t come under judgment but has passed from death into life.

and you don’t have his word dwelling with you because you don’t believe the one whom he has sent.

How can you believe when you receive praise from each other but don’t seek the praise that comes from the only God?

If you believed Moses, you would believe me, because Moses wrote about me.

If you don’t believe the writings of Moses, how will you believe my words?”
