Even if their own father, mother, brother, or sister dies, they must not make themselves unclean by going near them. Nazarites show their vow to Elohim with their long hair.

“When you go to war in your own country against an enemy who is oppressing you, the trumpets will sound a fanfare. Then Yahweh your Elohim will remember you and rescue you from your enemies.

Also, on your festival days and on the first day of the month, blow the trumpets when you sacrifice your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. The trumpets will be a reminder for you in Elohim’s presence. I am Yahweh your Elohim.”

You will remember to obey all my commands, and you will be holy to your Elohim.

Immediately, they bowed with their faces touching the ground and said, “O El, you are the Elohim who gives the breath of life to everyone! If one man sins, will you be angry with the whole community?”

That night Elohim came to Balaam and said, “If these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.”

Elohim became angry that he was going. So the Messenger of Yahweh stood in the road to stop him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, accompanied by his two servants.

Balaam replied, “Well, I’ve come to you now. But I can’t say whatever I want to. I can only say what Elohim tells me to say.”

Elohim came to him, and Balaam said, “I have set up seven altars, and I offered a bull and a ram on each altar.”

He doesn’t want any trouble for the descendants of Jacob. He sees no misfortune for the people of Israel. Yahweh their Elohim is with them, praised as their king.

Balak said to Balaam, “Come, let me take you to another place. Maybe Elohim wants you to curse them for me from there.”
