Admonition to Trust and Honor God
My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;
-
Honor the Lord with your substance and with the first fruits of all your produce;
-
Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
-
The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.
-
Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.
-
lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless;
-
Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and prosperity.
-
A gracious woman gets honor, and violent men get riches.
-
Poverty and disgrace come to him who ignores instruction, but he who heeds reproof is honored.
-
He who oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him.
-
The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honor.
-
Before destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility goes before honor.
-
It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; but every fool will be quarreling.
-
He who pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor.
-
The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
-
Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.
-
Like one who binds the stone in the sling is he who gives honor to a fool.
-
He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who guards his master will be honored.
-
A man’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
