  1. Then Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar became king in his place; and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

  9. Then the fish that were in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. And the blood was through all the land of Egypt.
  10. The Lord did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, the courtyards, and the fields.
  11. So the Lord did this thing on the next day, and all the livestock of Egypt died; but not one of the livestock of the sons of Israel died.
  12. The sons of Israel said to them, “If only we had died by the Lords hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger!”
  13. And fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.
  14. Law of Atonement

    Now the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they had approached the presence of the Lord and died.
  15. But Nadab and Abihu died in the presence of the Lord when they offered strange fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests in the lifetime of their father Aaron.
  16. The people then cried out to Moses; and Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire died out.
  17. And all the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the entire congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or even if we had died in this wilderness!
  18. those men who brought the bad report of the land also died by a plague in the presence of the Lord.
  19. But those who died by the plague were 14,700 in number, besides those who died on account of Korah.
  20. Anyone who touches a dead body, the body of a person who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from Israel. Since the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he will be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.
  21. Also, anyone who in the open field touches one who has been killed with a sword or one who has died naturally, or touches a human bone or a grave, will be unclean for seven days.
  22. And a clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the furnishings, on the persons who were there, and on the one who touched the bone or the one who was killed or the one who died naturally, or the grave.
  23. Death of Miriam

    Then the sons of Israel, the whole congregation, came to the wilderness of Zin in the first month; and the people stayed at Kadesh. Now Miriam died there and was buried there.
  24. And after Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on his son Eleazar, Aaron died there on the mountain top. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.
  25. When all the congregation saw that Aaron had died, the whole house of Israel wept for Aaron for thirty days.
