11 For, brethren, I make known to you the evangel, that was preached of me, for it is not by man; [Soothly brethren, I make the gospel known to you, which is evangelized, or preached, of me, for it is not after man;]
12 nor I took it of man, nor learned [neither I took it of man, neither learned], but by [the] revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For ye have heard my conversation sometime in the Jewry, that I pursued surpassingly the church of God [for over manner, or measure, I pursued the church of God], and fought against it.
14 And I profited in the Jewry above many of mine even-elders in my kindred, and was more abundantly a follower of my fathers' traditions [being more abundantly a lover, or follower, of my fathers' traditions].
15 But when it pleased him, that separated me [that parted me] from my mother's womb, and called by his grace,
16 to show his Son in me, that I should preach him among the heathen, at once I drew me not to flesh and blood [anon I accorded not to flesh and blood];
17 nor I came to Jerusalem [neither I came to Jerusalem] to the apostles, that were before me, but I went into Arabia, and again I turned again into Damascus.
18 And since three years after I came to Jerusalem, to see Peter, and I dwelled with him fifteen days; [Afterward after three years I came to Jerusalem, to see Peter, and dwelled with him fifteen days;]
19 but I saw none other of the apostles, but James, our Lord's brother [no but James, the brother of the Lord].
20 And these things which I write to you, lo! before God I lie not.
21 Afterward I came into the coasts [the parts] of Syria and Cilicia.
22 But I was unknown by face to the churches of Judaea, that were in Christ;
23 and they had only an hearing, that he that pursued us sometime, preacheth now the faith [now evangelizeth the faith], against which he fought sometime;
24 and in me they glorified God.

11 I tell you, brethren, that the gospel I preached was not after the manner of men. I neither received it from man, 12 nor was I taught it, but I received it by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 13 For you have heard of my conduct in time past, in the ways of the Jews – how beyond measure I persecuted the congregation of God, and ravaged it, 14 and prevailed in the law of the Jews above many of my companions who were of my own nation, and was a much more fervent maintainer of the precepts of the elders.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, 16 in order to declare his Son by me, to preach him among the heathen, I did not immediately commune of the matter with flesh and blood, 17 nor return to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but went my ways into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. 18 Then, after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. 19 I did not see any of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. 20 The things that I write, lo, God knows I do not speak untruly.
21 After that, I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 I was not personally known to the congregations of Judea that were in Christ, 23 but they only heard that he who persecuted them in time past, now preaches the faith that before he destroyed. 24 And they glorified God in my behalf.

- Galatians 1:11 A second argument to prove that this doctrine is heavenly, because he had it from heaven, from Jesus Christ himself, without any man’s help, wherein he excelleth them whom Christ taught here on earth after the manner of men.
- Galatians 1:12 This place is to be understood of an extraordinary revelation, for otherwise the Son alone revealed his Gospel by his Spirit, although by the ministry of men, which Paul shutteth out here.
- Galatians 1:13 He proveth that he was extraordinarily taught of Christ himself, by the history of his former life, which the Galatians themselves know well enough: for saith he, it is well known in what school I was brought up, even from a child, to wit, amongst the deadly enemies of the Gospel. And no man may cavil and say that I was a scholar of the Pharisees in name only and not in deed, no man is ignorant, how that I excelled in Pharisaism, and was suddenly made of a Pharisee, an Apostle of the Gentiles, so that I had no space to be instructed of men.
- Galatians 1:14 He calleth them the traditions of his Fathers, because he was not only a Pharisee himself, but also had a Pharisee to his father.
- Galatians 1:15 He speaketh of God’s everlasting predestination, whereby he appointed him to be an Apostle, whereof he maketh three degrees, the everlasting counsel of God, his appointing from his mother’s womb, and his calling: here is no mention at all, we see, of works foreseen.
- Galatians 1:16 To me, and this is a kind of speech which the Hebrews use, whereby this is given us to understand, that this gift cometh from God.
