1 Timothy 1:12-17 Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

12 I do thankings to him, that [hath] comforted me in Christ Jesus our Lord, for he guessed me faithful, and put me in ministry [putting me in ministry],

13 that first was a blasphemer [the which I first was a blasphemer], and a pursuer, and full of wrongs. But I have gotten the mercy of God, for I unknowing did in unbelief.

14 But the grace of our Lord over abounded, with faith and love that is in Christ Jesus.

15 A true word and worthy all receiving, for Christ Jesus came into this world to make sinful men safe, of which I am the first [of whom I am the first].

16 But therefore I have gotten mercy, that Christ Jesus should show in me first all patience, to the informing of them that shall believe to him into everlasting life.

17 And to the king of worlds, undeadly and invisible God alone [to God alone], be honour and glory into worlds of worlds. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:12-17 New Matthew Bible (NMB)

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has made me strong. For he counted me true and put me in office, 13 when before I was a blasphemer and a persecutor, and full of violence. But I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly, through unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord abounded more greatly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

15 This is a true saying, and by all means worthy to be received: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 But notwithstanding, mercy was given to me, so that Jesus Christ could first show on me all long patience, as an example for those who will in time to come believe on him unto eternal life. 17 So then, to God the King everlasting, immortal, invisible, and alone wise, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:12-17 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

12 [a]Therefore I thank him which hath made me [b]strong, that is, Christ Jesus our Lord: for he counted me faithful, and put me in his service:

13 When before I was a [c]blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an oppressor: but I was received to mercy: for I did it ignorantly through unbelief.

14 But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant [d]with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

15 [e]This is a [f]true saying, and by all means worthy to be received, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

16 Notwithstanding for this cause was I received to mercy, that Jesus Christ should first show on me all long suffering unto the ensample of them, which shall in time to come believe in him unto eternal life.

17 [g]Now unto the king everlasting, immortal, invisible, unto God [h]only wise, be honor, and glory, for ever, and ever, Amen.

1 Timothy 1:12-17 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
