²² Then was brought unto him ^[a]one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the dumb man spake and saw. ²³ And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, Can this be the son of David? ²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man doth not cast out demons, but ^[b]by ^[c]Beelzebub the prince of the demons. ²⁵ And knowing their thoughts he said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: ²⁶ and if Satan casteth out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand? ²⁷ And if I ^[d]by ^[e]Beelzebub cast out demons, ^[f]by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. ²⁸ But if I ^[g]by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you. ²⁹ Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. ³⁰ He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

³² And as they went forth, behold, there was brought to him a dumb man possessed with a demon. ³³ And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. ³⁴ But the Pharisees said, ^[a]By the prince of the demons casteth he out demons.

²² And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem said, He hath ^[a]Beelzebub, and, ^[b]By the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons. ²³ And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? ²⁴ And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. ²⁵ And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. ²⁶ And if Satan hath risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. ²⁷ But no one can enter into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

¹⁷ But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; ^[a]and a house divided against a house falleth. ¹⁸ And if Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out demons ^[b]by ^[c]Beelzebub. ¹⁹ And if I ^[d]by ^[e]Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. ²⁰ But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you. ²¹ When the strong man fully armed guardeth his own court, his goods are in peace: ²² but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him his whole armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. ²³ He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
