    they passed through^(B) the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice^(C) in him.

¹² Rejoice in the Lord,^(A) you who are righteous,
    and praise his holy name.^(B)

² Let Israel rejoice^(A) in their Maker;^(B)
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.^(C)
3 Let them praise his name with dancing^(D)
    and make music to him with timbrel and harp.^(E)
4 For the Lord takes delight^(F) in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.^(G)
5 Let his faithful people rejoice^(H) in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.^(I)

⁶ Shout aloud and sing for joy,^(A) people of Zion,
    for great^(B) is the Holy One of Israel^(C) among you.^(D)”

²⁰ Leave Babylon,
    flee^(A) from the Babylonians!
Announce this with shouts of joy^(B)
    and proclaim it.
Send it out to the ends of the earth;^(C)
    say, “The Lord has redeemed^(D) his servant Jacob.”

⁹ Burst into songs of joy^(A) together,
    you ruins^(B) of Jerusalem,
for the Lord has comforted^(C) his people,
    he has redeemed Jerusalem.^(D)
