⁹ Do not be angry^(A) beyond measure, Lord;
    do not remember our sins^(B) forever.
Oh, look on us, we pray,
    for we are all your people.^(C)
10 Your sacred cities^(D) have become a wasteland;
    even Zion is a wasteland, Jerusalem a desolation.^(E)
11 Our holy and glorious temple,^(F) where our ancestors praised you,
    has been burned with fire,
    and all that we treasured^(G) lies in ruins.
¹² After all this, Lord, will you hold yourself back?^(H)
    Will you keep silent^(I) and punish us beyond measure?

²¹ Restore^(A) us to yourself, Lord, that we may return;
    renew our days as of old
²² unless you have utterly rejected us^(B)
    and are angry with us beyond measure.^(C)
