¹⁹ The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality,^(A) impurity and debauchery; ²⁰ idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions ²¹ and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.^(B) I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.^(C)

¹⁴ Do everything without grumbling^(A) or arguing, ¹⁵ so that you may become blameless^(B) and pure, “children of God^(C) without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”^[a](D) Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

²³ Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.^{(A) 24} And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.^(B)

¹⁰ Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.^{(A) 11} You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.
