11 “All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned(A) the king has but one law:(B) that they be put to death unless the king extends the gold scepter(C) to them and spares their lives. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king.”

11 A király összes udvari embere és a királyi tartományok népe is tudja, hogy minden férfira és nőre egyforma törvény vonatkozik: aki hívatlanul be mer menni a királyhoz a belső udvarba, azt kivégzik! Csak az marad életben, aki felé a király kinyújtja aranypálcáját. Engem azonban már harminc napja nem hívtak be a királyhoz!

11 All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
