The Ascension
9 After He had said this, He was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. 10 While He was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.(A) 11 They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven.”(B)
United in Prayer
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called the Mount of Olives, which is near Jerusalem—a Sabbath day’s journey away. 13 When they arrived, they went to the room(C) upstairs where they were staying:
Peter, John,
James, Andrew,
Philip, Thomas,
Bartholomew, Matthew,
James the son of Alphaeus,
Simon the Zealot,
and Judas the son of James.(D)
14 All these were continually united(E) in prayer,[a] along with the women, including Mary[b] the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.(F)

9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, (A)he was lifted up, and (B)a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, (C)two (D)men stood by them in (E)white robes, 11 and said, (F)“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, (G)will (H)come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

12 Then (I)they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. 13 And when they had entered, they went up to (J)the upper room, where they were staying, (K)Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon (L)the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these (M)with one accord (N)were devoting themselves to prayer, together with (O)the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and (P)his brothers.[a]
