    Will they call on God at all times?

    who stretches out the heavens^(C)
    and who lays the foundations of the earth,
that you live in constant terror^(D) every day
    because of the wrath of the oppressor,
    who is bent on destruction?
For where is the wrath of the oppressor?^(E)

⁸ By day the Lord directs his love,^(A)
    at night^(B) his song^(C) is with me—
    a prayer to the God of my life.^(D)

⁵ Let his faithful people rejoice^(A) in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.^(B)
