Wisdom of Ben Sira 7:23-25

²³ Do you have sons? Discipline them,
    and insist on their obedience^[a] from their childhood.
²⁴ Do you have daughters? Be concerned for their chastity,
    and do not allow yourself to be over-indulgent toward them.
²⁵ When you give your daughter in marriage, you have completed a great task,
    but give her to a sensible man.
