Wisdom of Ben Sira 33:31-33

³¹ If you have only one slave, treat him like yourself,
    for you have acquired him with blood.
If you have only one slave, treat him as a brother,
    since you will need him as much as you need yourself.
³² If you ill-treat him and he runs away,
³³     where will you go to look for him?
