Christ Born of Mary^(A)

¹⁸ Now the ^(B)birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child ^(C)of the Holy Spirit.

^16 (A)When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and ^[a]He saw ^(B)the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

Satan Tempts Jesus^(A)

4 Then ^(B)Jesus was led up by ^(C)the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

²⁸ But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, ^(A)surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. ^29 (B)Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. ³⁰ He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

The Unpardonable Sin^(C)

³¹ “Therefore I say to you, ^(D)every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, ^(E)but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. ³² Anyone who ^(F)speaks a word against the Son of Man, ^(G)it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

^19 (A)Go ^[a]therefore and ^(B)make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

^10 (A)And immediately, coming up ^[a]from the water, He saw the heavens ^[b]parting and the Spirit ^(B)descending upon Him like a dove.

^12 (B)Immediately the Spirit ^[a]drove Him into the wilderness.

³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, ^(A)“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called ^(B)the Son of God.
