¹⁴ But solid food is for the mature, for those whose faculties have been trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.^(A)

⁹ And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight^{(A) 10} to help you to determine what really matters, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless,

¹⁸ I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth^{(A) 19} and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.^(B)

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him,^{(A) 18} so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may perceive what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints,

⁶ and Baalath, as well as all Solomon’s storage towns, and all the towns for his chariots, the towns for his cavalry, and whatever Solomon desired to build, in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

³⁹ Now the rest of the acts of Ahab and all that he did and the ivory house that he built and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the Book of the Annals of the Kings of Israel?^(A)

²² For the king had a fleet of ships of Tarshish at sea with the fleet of Hiram. Once every three years the fleet of ships of Tarshish used to come bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.^[a](A)
