¹⁷ The Spirit and ^(A)the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And ^(B)let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the ^(C)water of life without price.

The Compassion of the Lord

^11 (A)You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which ^(B)through us will produce thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the ministry of this service is not only supplying ^(C)the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. ¹³ By their approval of this service, ^(D)they^[a] will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your ^(E)confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, ¹⁴ while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. ^15 (F)Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

²⁹ So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, ^(A)to send relief to ^(B)the brothers^[a] living in Judea.

¹⁴ You are ^(A)my friends ^(B)if you do what I command you. ^15 (C)No longer do I call you servants,^[a] for the servant ^(D)does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for ^(E)all that I have heard from my Father ^(F)I have made known to you.

^29 (A)The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. ^(B)The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, ^(C)rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

⁹ And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ ¹⁰ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before ^(A)the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Have No Fear

⁴ “I tell you, my friends, ^(A)do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.
