^5 (A)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(B)a spiritual house, to be ^(C)a holy priesthood, ^(D)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(E)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The Coming of the Holy Spirit

2 When ^(A)the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. ² And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like ^(B)a mighty rushing wind, and ^(C)it filled the entire house where they were sitting.

⁹ Then he said to me, ^(A)“Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, ^(B)son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from ^(C)the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”

Benediction

²⁰ Now ^(A)may the God of peace ^(B)who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, ^(C)the great shepherd of the sheep, by ^(D)the blood of the eternal covenant, ^21 (E)equip you with everything good that you may do his will, ^(F)working in us^[a] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, ^(G)to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

¹² we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and ^(A)charged ^(B)you to walk in a manner worthy of God, ^(C)who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

¹³ And ^(D)we also thank God constantly^[a] for this, that when you received ^(E)the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it ^(F)not as the word of men^[b] but as what it really is, the word of God, ^(G)which is at work in you believers.

⁹ And so, ^(A)from the day we heard, ^(B)we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that ^(C)you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all ^(D)spiritual wisdom and understanding, ¹⁰ so as ^(E)to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, ^(F)fully pleasing to him: ^(G)bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; ^11 (H)being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for ^(I)all endurance and patience ^(J)with joy; ^12 (K)giving thanks^[a] to the Father, who has qualified you^[b] to share in ^(L)the inheritance of the saints in light.

⁹ And it is my prayer that ^(A)your love may abound more and more, ^(B)with knowledge and all discernment, ¹⁰ so that you may approve what is excellent, ^(C)and so be pure and blameless ^(D)for the day of Christ, ¹¹ filled ^(E)with the fruit of righteousness that comes ^(F)through Jesus Christ, ^(G)to the glory and praise of God.

¹⁰ He who supplies ^(A)seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and ^(B)increase the harvest of your righteousness. ^11 (C)You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which ^(D)through us will produce thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the ministry of this service is not only supplying ^(E)the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. ¹³ By their approval of this service, ^(F)they^[a] will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your ^(G)confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, ¹⁴ while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. ^15 (H)Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

²⁸ When therefore I have completed this and have delivered to them what has been collected,^[a] I will leave ^(A)for Spain by way of you.
