Tinubos ni Boaz ang Mana ni Elimelec
4 Si Boaz ay nagtungo sa pintuang-bayan at naupo roon. Hindi nagtagal, ang malapit na kamag-anak na sinabi ni Boaz ay dumaan. Sinabi niya sa lalaking iyon “Halika, kaibigan. Maupo ka rito.” Siya'y lumapit at naupo.
2 Siya'y kumuha ng sampung lalaki sa matatanda ng bayan, at sinabi, “Maupo kayo rito.” Kaya't sila'y naupo.

Boaz Marries Ruth
4 Meanwhile Boaz went up to the town gate(A) and sat down there just as the guardian-redeemer[a](B) he had mentioned(C) came along. Boaz said, “Come over here, my friend, and sit down.” So he went over and sat down.
2 Boaz took ten of the elders(D) of the town and said, “Sit here,” and they did so.(E)
