¹⁶ And also pull out some from the bundles for her and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her.”

¹⁷ But ^(A)if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet ^(B)closes his heart against him, ^(C)how does God's love abide in him? ¹⁸ Little children, let us not ^(D)love in word or talk but in deed and ^(E)in truth.

^13 (A)Contribute to the needs of the saints and ^(B)seek to show hospitality.

^19 (A)“When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, ^(B)that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. ²⁰ When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over them again. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow. ²¹ When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not strip it afterward. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.

¹⁰ For ^(A)God is not unjust so as to overlook ^(B)your work and the love that you have shown for his name in ^(C)serving the saints, as you still do.

⁷ For I have derived much joy and ^(A)comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints ^(B)have been refreshed through you.

⁵ and this, not as we expected, but they ^(A)gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us. ⁶ Accordingly, ^(B)we urged Titus that as he had started, so he should complete among you ^(C)this act of grace. ⁷ But as ^(D)you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you^[a]—^(E)see that you excel in this act of grace also.

^8 (F)I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. ⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ^(G)though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. ¹⁰ And in this matter ^(H)I give my judgment: ^(I)this benefits you, who ^(J)a year ago started not only to do this work but also to desire to do it. ¹¹ So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have.

⁴⁰ And ^(A)the King will answer them, ^(B)‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these ^(C)my brothers,^[a] you did it to me.’
