Romans 9:18-23

18 So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He (A)hardens whom He desires.
19 (B)You will say to me then, “(C)Why does He still find fault? For (D)who has resisted His will?” 20 On the contrary, who are you, [a](E)you foolish person, who (F)answers back to God? (G)The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? 21 Or does the potter not have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one object [b]for honorable use, and another [c]for common use? 22 [d]What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with great (H)patience objects of wrath (I)prepared for destruction? 23 And He did so to make known (J)the riches of His glory upon (K)objects of mercy, which He (L)prepared beforehand for glory,

20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

18 so, then, to whom He willeth, He doth kindness, and to whom He willeth, He doth harden.
19 Thou wilt say, then, to me, `Why yet doth He find fault? for His counsel who hath resisted?'
20 nay, but, O man, who art thou that art answering again to God? shall the thing formed say to Him who did form [it], Why me didst thou make thus?
21 hath not the potter authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make the one vessel to honour, and the one to dishonour?
22 And if God, willing to shew the wrath and to make known His power, did endure, in much long suffering, vessels of wrath fitted for destruction,
23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on vessels of kindness, that He before prepared for glory, whom also He did call -- us --
