⁴ Therefore, my brethren, you also were ^(A)made to die ^(B)to the Law ^(C)through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

⁵ We are destroying speculations and every ^(A)lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the ^(B)obedience of Christ,

³ But I am afraid that, as the ^(A)serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

⁸ More than that, I count all things to be loss ^[a]in view of the surpassing value of ^[b](A)knowing ^(B)Christ Jesus my Lord, ^[c]for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,
