¹³ and do not go on ^(A)presenting ^[a]the members of your body to sin as ^[b]instruments of unrighteousness; but ^(B)present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as ^[c]instruments of righteousness to God.

¹⁶ Do you not ^(A)know that when you present yourselves to someone as ^(B)slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of ^(C)sin ^[a]resulting in death, or of obedience ^[b]resulting in righteousness?

^19 (A)I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just ^(B)as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, ^[a]resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, ^[b]resulting in sanctification.

²⁰ For ^(A)you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in ^(B)your body.

God-pleasing Sacrifices

^15 (A)Through Him then, let us continually offer up a ^(B)sacrifice of praise to God, that is, ^(C)the fruit of lips that ^[a]give thanks to His name.

^5 (A)you also, as living stones, ^[a]are being built up as a ^(B)spiritual house for a holy ^(C)priesthood, to ^(D)offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
