¹⁸ Therefore just as one man’s trespass led to condemnation for all, so one man’s act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all. ¹⁹ For just as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

²² for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died.^(A)

³² For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all.^(A)

³ This is right and acceptable before God our Savior,^{(A) 4} who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.^{(B) 5} For

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all,^[a](A)

¹⁹ that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,^[a] not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.^(A)

⁹ he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,^{(A) 10} as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.^(B)

²⁷ To them God chose to make known how great among the gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.^{(A) 28} It is he whom we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.^[a](B)

³² And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people^[a] to myself.”^(A)
