Romans 4:5-8

5 But to the one who does not work, but (A)believes upon Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:
7 “(B)Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven,
And whose sins have been covered.
8 (C)Blessed is the man whose sin the [a]Lord will not (D)take into account.”

5 But to the person who does not work but believes in the God who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness.
6 This is exactly what David says about the blessed state of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven
and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.[a]
