First I do thankings to my God, by Jesus Christ, for all you, for your faith is showed in all the world.

For God is a witness to me, to whom I serve in my spirit, in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mind of you ever in my prayers [whom I serve in my spirit, in the gospel of his Son, for without ceasing I make mind of you evermore in my prayers],

10 and beseech [praying], if in any manner sometime I have a speedy way in the will of God to come to you.

11 For I desire to see you, to part somewhat to you of spiritual grace [that I give to you something of spiritual grace], that ye be confirmed,

12 that is, to be comforted together in you, by [that] faith that is both yours and mine together.

13 And, brethren, I will not, that ye not know [that ye unknow], that oft I purposed to come to you, and I am letted [and I am forbidden] till this time, that I have some fruit in you, as [and] in other folks.

14 To Greeks and to barbarians, to wise men and to unwise men, I am debtor,

15 so that that is in me is ready to preach the gospel also to you that be at Rome.

First, truly I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is spoken of throughout all the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, 10 asking that at one time or another a successful journey (by the will of God) might enable me to go to you. 11 For I long to see you, so that I may bestow among you some spiritual gift to strengthen you with; 12 that is, so I may have consolation together with you through the common faith, which both you and I have.

13 I want you to know, brethren, that I have often hoped to go to you (but have been prevented so far) to have some fruit among you, as I have among other of the Gentiles. 14 For I am a debtor both to the Greeks and to those who are not Greek, to the learned and also to the unlearned. 15 So then, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you of Rome also.

[a]First I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is [b]published throughout the [c]whole world.

For God is my witness (whom I serve in my [d]spirit in the [e]Gospel of his Son) that without ceasing I make mention of you.

10 Always in my prayers, beseeching that by some means, one time or other I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God, to come unto you.

11 For I long to see you, that I might bestow among you some spiritual gift, that you might be strengthened:

12 That is, that [f]I might be comforted together with you, through our mutual faith, both yours and mine.

13 Now my brethren, I would that ye should not be ignorant, how that I have oftentimes purposed to come unto you (but have been let hitherto) that I might have some fruit also among you, as I have among the other Gentiles.

14 I am debtor both to the Grecians, and to the Barbarians, both to the wise men and to the unwise.

15 Therefore, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the Gospel to you also that are at [g]Rome.
