A Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you,(A) brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,(B) holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform(C) to the pattern of this world,(D) but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.(E) Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is(F)—his good, pleasing(G) and perfect will.
Humble Service in the Body of Christ
3 For by the grace given me(H) I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,(I) 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body,(J) and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts,(K) according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying,(L) then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith;(M) 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;(N) 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;(O) if it is giving, then give generously;(P) if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Love in Action
9 Love must be sincere.(Q) Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.(R) 10 Be devoted to one another in love.(S) Honor one another above yourselves.(T) 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor,(U) serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope,(V) patient in affliction,(W) faithful in prayer.(X) 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.(Y) Practice hospitality.(Z)
14 Bless those who persecute you;(AA) bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.(AB) 16 Live in harmony with one another.(AC) Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.(AD)
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil.(AE) Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.(AF) 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.(AG) 19 Do not take revenge,(AH) my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d](AI) says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e](AJ)
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

12 Portanto, irmãos, suplico-lhes que entreguem seu corpo a Deus, por causa de tudo que ele fez por vocês. Que seja um sacrifício vivo e santo, do tipo que Deus considera agradável. Essa é a verdadeira forma de adorá-lo.[a] 2 Não imitem o comportamento e os costumes deste mundo, mas deixem que Deus os transforme por meio de uma mudança em seu modo de pensar, a fim de que experimentem a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus para vocês.
3 Com base na graça que recebi, dou a cada um de vocês a seguinte advertência: não se considerem melhores do que realmente são. Antes, sejam honestos em sua autoavaliação, medindo-se de acordo com a fé que Deus nos deu.[b] 4 Da mesma forma que nosso corpo tem vários membros e cada membro, uma função específica, 5 assim é também com o corpo de Cristo. Somos membros diferentes do mesmo corpo, e todos pertencemos uns aos outros.
6 Deus, em sua graça, nos concedeu diferentes dons. Portanto, se você tiver a capacidade de profetizar, faça-o de acordo com a proporção de fé que recebeu. 7 Se tiver o dom de servir, sirva com dedicação. Se for mestre, ensine bem. 8 Se seu dom consistir em encorajar pessoas, encoraje-as. Se for o dom de contribuir, dê com generosidade. Se for o de exercer liderança, lidere de forma responsável. E, se for o de demonstrar misericórdia, pratique-o com alegria.
9 Amem as pessoas sem fingimento. Odeiem tudo que é mau. Apeguem-se firmemente ao que é bom. 10 Amem-se com amor fraternal e tenham prazer em honrar uns aos outros. 11 Jamais sejam preguiçosos, mas trabalhem com dedicação e sirvam ao Senhor com entusiasmo.[c] 12 Alegrem-se em nossa esperança. Sejam pacientes nas dificuldades e não parem de orar. 13 Quando membros do povo santo passarem por necessidade, ajudem com prontidão. Estejam sempre dispostos a praticar a hospitalidade.
14 Abençoem aqueles que os perseguem. Não os amaldiçoem, mas orem para que Deus os abençoe. 15 Alegrem-se com os que se alegram e chorem com os que choram. 16 Vivam em harmonia uns com os outros. Não sejam orgulhosos, mas tenham amizade com gente de condição humilde. E não pensem que sabem tudo.
17 Nunca paguem o mal com o mal. Pensem sempre em fazer o que é melhor aos olhos de todos. 18 No que depender de vocês, vivam em paz com todos.
19 Amados, nunca se vinguem; deixem que a ira de Deus se encarregue disso, pois assim dizem as Escrituras:
“A vingança cabe a mim,
eu lhes darei o troco,
diz o Senhor”.[d]
20 Pelo contrário:
“Se seu inimigo estiver com fome, dê-lhe de comer;
se estiver com sede, dê-lhe de beber.
Ao fazer isso, amontoará
brasas vivas sobre a cabeça dele”.[e]
21 Não deixem que o mal os vença, mas vençam o mal praticando o bem.

12 (A)И така, моля ви, братя, поради Божиите милости да представите телата си в жертва жива, свята, благоугодна на Бога, като ваше духовно служение.
2 (B)И недейте се съобразява с този век[a], но се преобразявайте чрез обновяването на ума си, за да познаете от опит какво е Божията воля – това, което е добро, благоугодно на Него и съвършено.
3 (C)Защото чрез дадената ми благодат казвам на всеки един измежду вас, който е по-виден, да не мисли за себе си по-високо, отколкото трябва да мисли, а да разсъждава така, че да мисли скромно, според дела на вярата, който Бог е определил на всекиго.
4 (D)Защото, както в едно тяло имаме много части, но всички части не вършат една и съща работа,
5 (E)така и ние, мнозината, сме едно тяло в Христос и всеки от нас сме части, един на друг.
6 (F)И като имаме дарби, които се различават според дадената ни благодат, ако е пророчество, нека пророкуваме съразмерно с вярата;
7 (G)ако е служене, нека постоянстваме в служенето; ако някой поучава, нека постоянства в поучаването;
8 (H)ако увещава – в увещаването; който раздава – да раздава щедро; който управлява – да управлява с усърдие; който показва милост – да я показва доброволно.

9 (I)Любовта да бъде нелицемерна; отвращавайте се от злото и се привързвайте към доброто.
10 (J)Бъдете мили един към друг като към близки роднини, с братска обич; изпреварвайте да си отдавате почит един на друг.
11 В усърдието не бъдете лениви; бъдете пламенни по дух, като служите на Господа.
12 (K)Радвайте се в надеждата, в скръббъдете твърди, в молитва – постоянни.
13 (L)Помагайте на светиите в нуждите им; стремете се към гостолюбие.
14 (M)Благославяйте онези, които ви гонят, благославяйте и не кълнете.
15 (N)Радвайте се с онези, които се радват; плачете с онези, които плачат.
16 (O)Бъдете единомислени един към друг; не отдавайте ума си на високи неща, но се предавайте на скромни неща; не смятайте себе си за мъдри.
17 (P)На никого не връщайте зло за зло; промисляйте за това, което е добро пред всички човеци;
18 (Q)ако е възможно, доколкото зависи от вас, живейте в мир с всички човеци.
19 (R)Не си отмъщавайте, възлюбени, а дайте място на Божия гняв; защото е писано: „На Мене принадлежи отмъщението, Аз ще отплатя, казва Господ.“
20 Но:
„Ако е гладен неприятелят ти, нахрани го;
ако е жаден – дай му да пие;
защото това като правиш, ще натрупаш жар на главата му.“
21 Не се оставяй да те побеждава злото; а ти побеждавай злото чрез добро.

12 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world[a] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[b]
3 For by the grace given to me I bid every one among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith which God has assigned him. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; 10 love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly;[c] never be conceited. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it[d] to the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 No, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
