Romans 9:17-19

17 In the Scriptures God says to Pharaoh: “I made you king so that you could do this for me. I wanted to show my power through you. I wanted my name to be announced throughout the world.”[a] 18 So God shows mercy to those he wants to show mercy to and makes stubborn those he wants to make stubborn.
19 So one of you will ask me, “If God controls what we do, why does he blame us for our sins?”

17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[a](A) 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.(B)
19 One of you will say to me:(C) “Then why does God still blame us?(D) For who is able to resist his will?”(E)
