¹³ for ^(A)if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are ^(B)putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

^5 (A)Therefore, ^[a]treat ^(B)the parts of your earthly body as dead to ^(C)sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which ^[b]amounts to idolatry.

²⁹ But ^(A)he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and ^(B)circumcision is of the heart, by the ^(C)Spirit, not by the letter; ^(D)and his praise is not from people, but from God.

¹¹ and in Him ^(A)you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of ^(B)the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ,

²² that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to ^(A)rid yourselves of the ^(B)old ^[a]self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the ^(C)lusts of deceit,

^16 (A)So circumcise ^[a]your heart, and do not ^(B)stiffen your neck any longer.

⁶ “Moreover, ^(A)the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your ^[a]descendants, ^(B)to love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, so that you may live.

⁸ the one who practices sin is ^(A)of the devil; for the devil ^[a]has been sinning from the beginning. ^(B)The Son of God ^(C)appeared for this purpose, ^(D)to destroy the works of the devil.
