Results of Justification

5 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we^[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,^(A)

¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.^(A)

³⁸ Let it be known to you therefore, brothers and sisters,^[a] that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you;^{(A) 39} by this Jesus^[b] everyone who believes is set free from all those sins^[c] from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.^(B)

³³ I have said this to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution, but take courage: I have conquered the world!”^(A)

²⁰ and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.^(A)

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.^(A)

¹⁴ For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us,^{(A) 15} abolishing the law with its commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace,^{(B) 16} and might reconcile both to God in one body^[a] through the cross, thus putting to death that hostility through it.^{[b](C) 17} So he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.^(A)
